Litigation Support

Altus Economics offers assistance with commercial litigation, criminal litigation, partnership disputes, forensic accounting and investigations, insurance litigation, loss of profits, and business interruption. Altus can assist with the in preparation of, and defense against, lost profits claims in contractual and tort litigation. In this work we develop detailed lost revenue and avoided costs models based on each client's data that incorporate market and industry information and account for other economic factors that might affect such analyses, such as the client’s competitive environment and market structure, production capacity constraints, mitigation of damages, or a newly established business with in process R&D with an uncertain value.

Our work in the area of damages and liability assessment also includes reasonable royalties, fair market values, lost earnings/benefits, present value calculations, breach of contract, intellectual property damages, and damages from theft of trade secrets. We can evaluate opposing experts’ reports and assist counsel in preparation for testimony by experts, including Daubert challenges on transfer pricing matters. Altus Economics also evaluate economic losses resulting from personal injury, wrongful death, and wrongful employment termination.
